| Learning
the Lessons |
Good
Day,
So many of us business owners (including us) have had one really
turbulent year, and its now officially the middle or hopefully the
middle of the climb out, and not half way down. Yet trusting the human
nature for resilience, all should be over as soon as the lessons that
need to be learnt have been.
"Great works are performed not by strength but by perseverance." -
Samuel Johnson.
Have a fantastic mid year!
Thank you,
The Sirdar Team |

| Business Tip of the Month: Value
your Board in Time of Crisis. |
The
value of a board often can go unnoticed when your business challenges
really start to put pressure on you. You will often forget the actions
that were taken as a result of prior meetings, and the improvement in
results that ensued. It can be hard for a business owner (who is the
managing director or chief executive of their own company as well) to
recognise when and how the governance process has actually influenced
their thinking and resulted in positive change.

| Chapter
3: How planning got me here. |
There
is a huge amount of planning that goes into putting together a
successful Everest expedition and attention to detail around the
logistics, is of paramount importance.
Every aspect has to be carefully thought and planned out; from food
requirements, to Sherpa support, base camp layout, kitchen staff,
transport of equipment, weather services, technology, media, medical
facilities, oxygen, climbing strategy, safety issues and personal and
communal equipment.
